We are in Umbria, at Attigliano, in the province of Terni.
Between the Tiber and Nera is a corner of Umbria lapped by the large roads : the Amerino . The landscape is striking for its range of colors green , parks, forests, vineyards , quiet haven for rare birds of passage . The area is of Etruscan origin , as attested by finds of graves , crypts and pottery . On the promontory upstream of the Tiber there was a grove of lime trees where the resident population of the valley was looking cool in the hot days in the shadow of these trees and , moving said “to tilium ” here seems to derive from the name of Attica . Today Attica has all the characteristics of a modern city characterized by its “strategic” position which puts him close to major roads Communication : Railway (especially regional fast ) , A1 Motorway , Provincial Roads . Rome can be reached in just fifty minutes, Orvieto twenty minutes. Even the location of Tuscia as the Monster Park at Bomarzo (only six kilometers from Attica ) , Viterbo, Bolsena Lake are within easy reach , and most importantly places to visit. No doubt a small corner of Umbria, where they still live in tranquility and where there is an air of country rich in traditions , flavors and simple things.
